What is Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy?
Also known as ESWT, shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment option for musculoskeletal conditions that have failed to respond to conservative treatment. ESWT uses technology similar to lithotripsy in an attempt to relieve musculoskeletal symptoms of the specified area! There are two major principles of this treatment. First is to alleviate pain by increasing blood flow and decreasing inflammation in the affected area along with local damage of cell membranes. Second is to interfere with the transmission of pain signals. Some conditions eligible for this type of treatment are: bursitis, tendinopathy, iliotibial band syndrome.
Tell Me About Magnetic Bio-Stimulation!
Magnetic bio-stimulation(MBS) is a device that produces invisible magnetic fields that permeate every cell in the body down to the molecular level. Upon striking the cells off the human organism, MBS stimulates the cells to start the healing process. This therapy increases the exchange of ions between the inner and outer cell wall. Which in exchange, improves the overall function of the molecular level allowing treatment to affect parts of the body that cannot be influenced efficiently by other methods. MBS is effective for: non union fractures, delayed wound and bone healing, acute/chronic inflammations, circulatory disorders and pain associated with arthritic conditions.
How About Spinal Decompression?
Spinal Decompression is a non-surgical treatment option for patients experiencing mild to moderate back pain. Pain in the lumbar can be caused by bulging disc(s) or herniated disc disease that is placing pressure on a nerve root. This type of therapy is used to realign the components of the spine which in turn relieves the pressure of the pinched nerve that is causing chronic pain and symptoms. It increases circulation to the damaged disc allowing it to begin the healing process naturally. Spinal Decompression not only relieves disc pressure, but it also reduces compression of nearby spinal nerve root.
